Votive is a daily ritual-based prayer application.

Your privacy is fundamental to how this product is designed.

This policy explains:

• what data is collected
• how it is used
• what is not collected
• your rights and controls

• Your journal entries are private and stored locally on your device
• We collect minimal data required to operate the service
• We do not sell your data
• We do not use your personal content for training or analytics

1. Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Authentication data (via Clerk)

This is used only to:

• authenticate your account
• associate your subscription status

2. Subscription Information

We collect:

• Subscription status (free, trial, paid)
• Transaction identifiers (via RevenueCat and platform providers)

This is used to:

• manage access to features
• enforce billing and trial logic

3. Analytics (Minimal)

We collect limited, anonymous usage data to improve the app:

• Funnel completion (e.g., onboarding, ritual steps)
• Feature usage frequency
• Subscription conversion events

We use PostHog for analytics. We do NOT collect:

• your journal or prayer content
• detailed behavioral tracking
• advertising identifiers

4. App Usage (Technical)

We may collect limited technical data such as:

• App version
• Basic error logs

This is used to improve reliability and fix issues.

Journal Content

Your journal entries:

• are stored locally on your device
• are never sent to our servers
• are never accessible to us

Prayer Content

We do not collect or analyze:

• what you write
• what you reflect on
• what you share

We do not sell or share your personal data.

We work with the following service providers, who process data only as required to operate the service:

• Clerk (authentication)
• Supabase (database)
• RevenueCat (subscriptions)
• Apple / Google (in-app purchases)
• PostHog (analytics)

You may delete your account at any time through the app (Settings → Delete Account).

When you do:

• your account data is permanently deleted
• your subscription records are removed
• your authentication data is deleted

Journal entries remain on your device unless you remove them manually.

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data. However:

• no system is completely secure
• you are responsible for securing your device

This app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. If changes are significant, we will provide notice through the app.
